I love the fall in New England! While I’m not trying to rush the final wonderful weeks of summer, I am looking forward to a great autumn. Not only is it an incredibly beautiful time of year, it is also the time that our ministry gets back into full swing. This year we are going to mark the launch of a new school year and a new season of ministry with a great fall kickoff on Sunday September 9th.
That day we will begin an awesome new series entitled “Follow the Leader.” In this new series, we will work our way, chapter by chapter through the Gospel of Mark as we explore what it really means to be a follower of Jesus. You will not want to miss a single week of this series.
This great fall kickoff will also mark the beginning of a new year of our NextGen children’s program and LifeGroups . With all the children and families we had an opportunity to connect to at Day Camp, we are expecting to see God do great things in this new year of NextGen. And we have some great new LifeGroups coming this fall.
We are also going to use this September 9th Great Fall Kickoff as an opportunity for invitation. We have invitation post cards that we will have available for everyone to use. Please begin praying now about who you will invite. We are also going to be mailing invitation cards to people who have visited our church in recent months. We need people who would be able to help us write some personalized post cards that we can send out in the next couple of weeks. If you can help with this, please email Lynette.
By the time you read this we will be about half way through our second week of Day Camp. It has been an amazing blessing to the kids. I want to personally thank everyone who volunteered! What an awesome team. I also want to remind you that this weekend is our Men’s Retreat. Please keep them all in prayer that God would use this weekend to draw all of them closer to Him.
