“But wait, there’s more!” Have you ever heard that phrase? I think we often associate it with late night infomercials where some way too energetic salesman continues to add more and more amazing items to deal. But I have to be honest, as I began to think about all the great things coming up in September at Rock Church, I kept finding myself thinking “But wait, there’s more!”
So, at the risk of sounding like Billy Mays or Ron Popeil, I can’t help but be excited about some of the great things coming up in our church. It all begins this weekend with our Men’s Summit. That is going to be a great weekend of worship and teaching, fellowship and fun for our guys. But wait, there’s more!
The following weekend, Sept 17, is our Night of Worship. This will be our first big all church event held at our new pavilion at our Rock Church Plaistow location. The evening will begin with a big old fashion BBQ. The church will provide the BBQ. We are inviting all who come to share in a side, dessert, etc. Following the meal will be an powerful time of outdoor praise and worship.
I am excited beyond words about the Night of Worship. I see this as an opportunity for our whole church, all three campuses, to come together for a time of spiritual renewal and refreshing. I believe this will be an opportunity for us to be built up spiritually, reigniting our passion for Christ as we head into a new season of ministry. It is my sincere hope that every family, every individual who calls Rock Church home will be able to join us for this great big family reunion. This is also an excellent opportunity to invite an unchurched friend or neighbor to experience Christian community and worship at its best. But wait, there’s more! This Sunday we will launch our next session of Rooted. Rooted is an Empowering 11 Weeks to Get Deeply Rooted in Christ and Christian Community Starting Sunday, Sept. 11, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Plaistow campus Sign-ups and Info at: rock-church.org/rooted Or Email: karenlsmclain@gmail.com Registration is required so that we can have enough materials and group leaders. I know that is already a lot, but wait, there’s more! On Tuesday September 13th we will launch our next session of Mastering Motherhood at our Sandown campus. Mastering Motherhood is a weekly gathering of mom’s of all ages for a time of fellowship, support, encouragement and personal growth. The program includes: free childcare, scrumptious food, gift giveaways, speakers & small book groups. Learn more and register at masteringmotherhood.com. We are also looking for individuals or Bible study groups who would be willing to prepare one meal sometime during the fall session. Believe it or not, there is still more. Youth group is relaunching for the fall tonight and every Wednesday at 5:00 pm in Plaistow. New lifegroups are starting up. Rock Kids children’s ministry is start over the next couple of weeks at all campuses. What a great fall season this is going to be at Rock Church.
